What we read out from Skodas

The Skoda lineup ranges from fully electric to plug-in hybrid, which requires a different reading for each version. We retrieve the same values for both, so you can compare them side by side.

  • The SOH percentage: the actual capacity compared to the factory value

  • The cell balance: the voltage difference between the weakest and the strongest cell

  • The charging history: how often it has been fast-charged and how deeply it has been discharged

  • The warranty status of the battery pack

  • A comparison with similar cars of the same year of manufacture

Everything comes directly from the battery management system via the OBD port. No estimation based on age or mileage. Within three minutes, the CARA-certified certificate is ready, as a PDF and as a JPEG.

Which Skodas we can test

The Enyaq shares its technology with the ID series, but the readable values differ by model year. In total, there are 12 Skoda versions in our list, divided into 7 model groups, including Elroq MY25+, ENYAQ iV, CITIGOe iV.

What a battery pack is worth depends less on the model year than on how it has been driven. Charging behavior, depth of discharge, and the number of fast charges together determine how much capacity remains. For Skoda, there is therefore more difference between two cars from the same year than you would expect based on the mileage.

The measurement is carried out via the OBD port. You receive the SOH percentage, the cell balance, the warranty status, the charging history, and a comparison with similar cars, summarized in a CARA-certified certificate as a PDF and a JPEG.
