What is a battery certificate and why do I need one?

A battery certificate is an independent report on the health (State of Health) of the traction battery of an electric car. Among other things, the certificate shows the remaining capacity, cell balance and charging history. When buying or selling a second-hand EV, this increases the buyer's confidence and leads to a higher residual value and faster sale.
