What we read out from Minis
The Mini lineup ranges from fully electric to plug-in hybrid, which requires a different readout for each version. We retrieve the same values for both, so you can compare them side by side.
The SOH percentage: the actual capacity compared to the factory value
The cell balance: the voltage difference between the weakest and the strongest cell
The charging history: how often it has been fast-charged and how deeply it has been discharged
The warranty status of the battery pack
A comparison with similar cars of the same year of manufacture

Which Minis we can test
A small but clear offering: the Mini Electric in three generations, plus the Countryman plug-in. In total, there are 6 Mini versions in our list, divided across 4 model groups, including Countryman Plug-in MY17+, Mini Electric MY24-25, and Mini Electric MY20-23.
We do not yet have enough measurements for Mini to provide a reliable picture. However, the same applies to every brand: the measurement reads the actual capacity, which often turns out differently than the mileage would suggest.
What a battery pack is worth depends less on the year of manufacture than on how it has been driven. Charging behavior, depth of discharge, and the number of fast-charging sessions together determine how much capacity remains. Consequently, with Mini, there is more variation between two cars from the same year than you would expect based on mileage alone.
The measurement is carried out via the OBD port. You will receive the SOH percentage, the cell balance, the warranty status, the charging history, and a comparison with similar cars, summarized in a CARA-certified certificate as a PDF and JPEG.
