What is the difference between reading a SOH and testing a SOH?

Reading out means that you retrieve the SOH value that the Battery Management System itself calculates. That value comes from an algorithm of the manufacturer and can be constructed differently per brand. TBE reads out that value and verifies it based on cell voltages, cell balance, and charging history. This way, you not only see what the car says, but whether it is correct.
